PROLINE
In 1983 the Pro Line company started out producing racing chassis and wheels for karts but soon grew into developing full racing karts and went on to win 40 national championships. After a tragic accident sidelined the other co-founder, Doug Henline bought all of the company equipment but chose not to purchase the ProLine name. He went on to start a new business in 1991 known as Douglas Wheels which later became known as Douglas Wheel Technology (DWT).

Doug Henline built the Proline series of kart chassis. IIRC, The first one came out in '83. It had a rear hoop with an aluminum flat spring that wrapped around the back of the seat kind of like Margay had then. They called that kart the "Free Roller".
Then, around '84 he built a new design kart that was my favorite Proline. It was called the KG-4 and it worked very well.
Next he came out with what appeared to be a "copy" of an Emmick, the K-5. In around 85-86 the pedals were mounted near the center of the chassis.
1983 K-1 Free Roller
1984 KG-4
1985 K-5X (Looked very similar to Emmick chassis)
1986
1987 K-7X
1988 K-88 Euro Sprint
1989
1990
1991
